The Missouri FFA Foundation is pleased to announce we are offering state level SAE grants to Missouri FFA members again this school year! The state level grants will range from $500 to $1000 award. Projects will be funded based on application quality and financial need. These grants are made possible due to the generosity of the MFA Inc. Charitable Foundation and the Missouri Sheep Merchandising Council.

Students must fill out the National FFA 2024 SAE Grant application to be eligible for the Missouri FFA Foundation SAE Grants. A member will only be eligible to receive one grant (NFFA or MOFFA) and ALL APPLICATIONS must go through the NFFA system. Applications will close Nov. 15.

Missouri grant recipients will be selected after the national recipients are announced. State grant recipients will be announced by early January.

(Please note, neither the MFA Inc. Charitable Foundation nor the Missouri Sheep Merchandising Council will accept direct applications for SAE grants this year. All Missouri SAE grants will be awarded by the Missouri FFA Foundation and must go through the NFFA application system.)

HORIZON & RISING SUN Grants

The Horizon Grants support updates or improvements needed for existing high school agriculture education programming. Schools may ask for $10,000-$20,000 in funding for projects that will enhance, replace, or expand existing facilities, equipment, lab supplies, curriculum, etc. The Horizon Grant requests should include at least a 50% local match.

The Rising Sun Grants support the launch of new high school agriculture education programs or new to the school agriculture education programming/classes. Schools may ask for $25,000-$50,000 in funding for facilities, equipment, lab supplies, curriculum, etc. A 25% local match is required.

Proposed projects for both grant programs should address at least one need and/or align with the strategies outlined in the 2020 study entitled Workforce Needs Assessment of Missouri’s Food, Agriculture and Forestry Industries.
