Sophia Geppart, 2025-26 VP
SAE Project:

For my main SAE, I own a small herd of Registered Holstein replacement heifers as the fourth generation on my family’s dairy farm. I focus on elite genetics while promoting the dairy industry in my community. I also raise crossbred cow-calf pairs and two production pigs. Owning multiple breeds of animals has helped me diversify my knowledge of agriculture. I also have a part time job at Central Crop Insurance, LLC where I communicate with customers and aid the insurance agents in their process.

Why did I want to serve as a Missouri FFA State Officer?

FFA has been an essential part of my life the past four years. During Area Leadership Conference freshman year, I remember making three goals for my FFA career, one of them being serving as a state officer. Through statewide activities, past state officers encouraged me to take risks and become more involved. I have met so many people through FFA that have changed my life for the better. I want to give back to the organization that means so much to me and encourage others to experience everything FFA has to offer.

What legacy do you most want to leave during your year of service?

FFA is an extremely diverse organization and has opened the door to unimaginable opportunities. I want to aid members in their journey through FFA and show them that opportunity is knocking around every corner. The possibilities for members are endless if you delve into the organization. Being an FFA member is not just about competing in CDEs or LDEs or attending conferences; it’s about creating a positive impact on those around you. I hope to grow alongside members as they continue to leave positive impacts on their communities.

What are your plans for the future?

I will be attending the University of Missouri to obtain a degree in agribusiness management. I want to continue to tell the true agriculture story by working in marketing or advertising for an agricultural company. The dairy industry has been influential in my life, and I plan to remain involved in whatever way I can.

What is something unique or interesting that few people know about you?

I absolutely love professional baseball! The St. Louis Cardinals are my favorite team, and I love watching them play. I also love to travel and have been to 30 states. Agriculture in the U.S. is so diverse and seeing each state’s agriculture is a cool experience.

Advice to FFA Members

My biggest piece of advice is not to be afraid to try something new. There are so many unique opportunities in FFA. Experiencing everything in FFA can lead to a lot of memories and meeting people from across the country. You truly can create your own family with the people you will meet. Cherish every moment. Do everything that you possibly can during your time in the corduroy jacket. You won’t regret it.
