SAE Project:
I am the owner of a freeze drying company. I started Cracked Candies at the end of my sophomore year, and we have had great success! If I am not in the booth at fairs, you can usually find me working as a farmhand.
Why did I want to serve as a Missouri FFA State Officer?

I fell in love with FFA during my time in high school. I don’t come from a traditional ag background, so I’ve had to work for all the opportunities that I get. I saw state office as another opportunity to serve all Missouri FFA members, but also to prove to myself and all the other members in the state that you don’t have to be a traditional farmer to find success in FFA.

What legacy do I want to leave?

That good work, dedication and patience will help you achieve your goals. If we can work hard on a goal or thing we love consistently without losing focus and have the patience to understand it won’t come immediately, we will have great success. Not just for ourselves but for our communities and people around us.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to attend MSU for a year while serving as a State Officer. Then after a whole year, I will be going on a two-year mission for my church to bring light to people in the dark. Following that, I will come home and finish my degree, then return to the SW District to be an ag teacher and FFA advisor.

What is something unique or interesting that few people know about you?

I play lacrosse! Lacrosse is an up and coming sport in the state of Missouri, and I had the blessing of getting to be among the first that got that opportunity. I actually play for Republic because it is not a school sanctioned sport yet. So they have a varsity “club” team, which allows players from other schools to join.

Advice to FFA Members

You’re going to hit roadblocks on your way to growth. Anything blocking your way can be overcome, but sometimes it takes us in a new direction. What we do to get over those obstacles is what makes us. The way we finish on the road is how we define ourselves.
