SAE Project:

My SAE Consists of a Beef Production Entrepreneurship element. I raise Purebred Angus and Hereford Cattle for my family and I to show at the local, state and national levels. I also sell commercial bulls to cattlemen. I also have a Diversified Livestock Production side to my SAE through showing market barrows and marketing them to local consumers.

What motivated you to want to become a Missouri FFA officer?

I wanted to serve as a Missouri FFA State Officer for the whole purpose of being put into a situation where I can help serve and inspire the members around me. Having the opportunity to connect with Missouri FFA and give my talents to help energize and excite Missouri FFA are things that I am very excited to pursue!

What legacy do you most want to leave with Missouri FFA members during your year of service?

I want the members to remember me as the officer who always brought the energy and excitement, as well as never giving up on the people around them. I am very excited to support and hype up all of the people surrounding me.

What are your plans for the future?

I will be attending The University of Missouri where I will be majoring in agriculture business management. After my four years in Columbia, I plan to attend Law School in hopes of working toward becoming an estate and succession planner so I can help keep farmers and their families within the agriculture industry right here in Northwest Missouri.

What is something unique or interesting that few people know about you?

I am actually not the first Missouri FFA State Secretary in my family! My mother, Susan Rhode, was the State Secretary from 1989-1990!

Advice to FFA Members

Take every opportunity you possibly can to meet and interact with new people. Making connections and networks is going to pay off in the long run. Also, make sure to get yourself out of your comfort zone. Missouri FFA is what you make it. Don’t be afraid to blaze your own trail!
