My SAE consists of Beef Production Placement as well as Beef Production Entrepreneurship. On the placement side, I work for my family’s commercial beef cow operation. On the entrepreneurship side, I have my own herd of commercial beef cattle.
Why did I want to serve as a Missouri FFA State Officer?
My reason as to why I wanted to serve as a state officer was that I wanted to have the same impact on FFA members that so many state officers have had on me. I also want to connect with Missouri FFA members through activities such as HYPE, HYMAX and State FFA Camp.
What legacy do I want to leave?
Honor the past, while living in the present. Recognize the incredible individuals who came before you and the people who helped you get to where you are today.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan to attend Missouri State University in the fall to obtain a degree in agriculture education. I hope to one day teach high school agriculture and share the story of agriculture with every student who walks into my classroom.
What is something unique or interesting that few people know about you?
I enjoy watching horse racing.
Advice to FFA Members
Be humble in victory and understanding in defeat. If things went your way, be grateful they did. If you fail, learn from your mistakes and work harder in order to succeed.
