Scholarships

For the fall semester of 2025, Alpha Gamma Sigma will provide four $1,000 scholarships for incoming male students at the University of Missouri-Columbia.

In addition to the scholarships available to new students, Alpha Gamma Sigma awards over $40,000 to members in CAFNR majors on an annual basis.

Alpha Gamma Rho and Sigma Alpha have partnered to create these one-time annual scholarships, which include five scholarships that will be awarded to three men and two women. $3,000 will be awarded in the way of one $1,000 scholarship and four $500 scholarship. Ideal applicants are seniors in high school planning to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia in 2025.

• Available to Freshman, Sophomore or Junior in high school.
• Applicant’s FFA Chapter must have a local FFA Alumni Chapter that is affiliated with the State FFA Alumni Association.
• Only ONE applicant per local FFA Alumni Chapter may apply.
• Applicant must be attending WlC the current year of application.

• Applicant must presently be a college Freshman, Sophomore or Junior majoring in agriculture at any Missouri college or university.
• This is a $500 scholarship.

All Missouri high school students are encouraged to participate in the Missouri Youth Institute at the University of Missouri. The Missouri Youth Institute (MYI) is a one-day event to be held on May 2, 2025, for students to interact with university leaders and students on critical global challenges, participate in hands-on activities, and present their own findings to subject matter experts.

Students that participate in the event are named Borlaug Scholars, can apply to competitive USDA internships and global experiences. Missouri’s top 4 student delegates will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to the Global Youth Institute in Des Moines, Iowa, and a $500 college scholarship.
