What motivated you to want to become a Missouri FFA officer?

I was motivated to become a Missouri FFA Officer because of all the incredible opportunities our state organization has done for me. I was a quiet kid looking for somewhere that I fit in my freshman year, and that’s when I found FFA. Now I’m a confident young girl following her dreams to be a veterinarian. I wanted to become a state officer so I could give back to all the incredible people who gave so much to me. I want to be able to help others grow and get out of their comfort zones just like I did.

Who is your hero and why?

I’m in a very lucky position to have my biggest supporter also be my hero. My Father has always been in my corner, but that’s not why he’s my hero. He’s my hero because he has the amazing ability of helping people discover who they are and helping them be proud of themselves. He helped me, and I want to be like him and help others.

What are your plans for the future?

In my future I hope to be able to become a veterinarian and be an advocate for agriculture and the farmer. Agriculture has always been a huge part of my life and I want it to continue to be in the future.

What is something unique or interesting that few people know about you?

A fun fact about me is that my favorite color is green but I hate all green vegetables. My mom loves that about me.

Advice to FFA Members

My advice to FFA members is to go and do. Take advantage of every opportunity you can. Even if you’re not sure if you’ll like the experience, try it out. That’s how you’ll get the most out of FFA.
