What do you hope to accomplish during your year of service to Missouri FFA?
During my year of service, I would like to inspire other FFA members to get out of their comfort zones, grow and succeed. I want them to be better prepared for tomorrow because of what they learned and did with the FFA today.
What or who motivates and inspires you and why?
I am motivated by my passions. Growing up in a rural community on a small family farm, I have always had a passion for agriculture and hard work. I love meeting new people and hearing about their goals. I hope that as this year progresses, I have the chance to hear from all of you and maybe even give you advice to help you reach your goals.
What are your plans for the future?
I plan on attending the University of Missouri-Columbia to major in animal science with the ultimate goal of becoming a large animal veterinarian. Upon receiving my certifications, I plan on returning to a rural community to start my practice.
What is something unique or interesting that few people know about you?
I am just your typical 18-year-old. I enjoy bad jokes, hanging out with my friends and learning new things. One interesting thing about me is that I can’t ride a bike!
Advice to FFA Members
Never be afraid to try something new, even if it scares you. Often the best experiences in life are the ones that require us to get outside of our comfort zones.
