What motivated you to want to become a Missouri FFA officer?

My motivation to become a Missouri FFA Officer started in an unorthodox fashion. I was not active in FFA my freshman year and lacked the motivation to immerse myself in our industry. After a path-altering event, I realized that my true passion was serving others. This led me to run for Missouri State FFA Office in hopes that I could give back to FFA and its members.

Who is your hero and why?

My hero is my brother, Brayden. Though he is younger than me, I am often amazed by the passion and drive he has. When he sets his eyes on something, you can bet that he won’t back down from the challenge and will devote himself to the task 100% until it is complete.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to attend the University of Missouri-Columbia and major in agriculture education with a teacher certification. At the completion of my bachelor’s degree, I plan to pursue a master’s degree in agriculture communications. I hope to become an agriculture instructor and inspire my students to reach their fullest potential.

Advice to FFA Members

Embrace your journey in the blue jacket. Sometimes, you will fail, but the key is to keep your eyes on the goals you have set for yourself and take it in stride. You will be put in situations that stretch you and that will challenge what you believe you can achieve. Remember that success does not come from comfort zones.
