Production Agriculture, Agri-Business, and Rural Lifestyle Grants

Teachers can apply for up to $500 in funds to enhance instruction in production agriculture, agri-business, or other areas that support a rural lifestyle. Enhancements may include but are not limited to the purchase of new lab equipment, machinery, supplies, curriculum or other teaching resources; modifications to existing lab equipment, machinery or facilities; implementation of innovative programming for students; or anything else that will enhance agriculture education. These grants are supported through the generosity of Growing America’s Farmers and the Rural King Foundation. With this funding, 7 grants of up to $500 each will be awarded.

Technology Enhancement Grants

Teachers can apply for up to $1000 in funds for the purchase of new or update of existing technology to be used in agriculture education instruction. Almost any type of technology is eligible for funding. Some examples would include but are not limited to ultrasound machines for livestock production, energy efficient climate controls for greenhouses, 3-D printers for making hard to find/fit parts in ag mechanics classes, and drones for crop production. These grants are supported through the generosity of Google.org. With this funding, 10 grants of up to $1000 each will be awarded.
